STOP CYBERBULLYING
What is Cyberbullying ?
Cyberbullying is the act of using digital devices, such as smartphones, computers, and tablets, to intentionally harm, threaten, or harass someone. This can happen through social media, text messages, emails, online games, or any other digital platform where people interact.
Harassment
Repeatedly sending offensive, rude, and insulting messages to someone online. This can include direct threats or relentless insults that target a person's appearance, beliefs, or personal life.
Flaming
Posting or sending aggressive and angry messages intended to provoke a fight or argument. This often happens in public forums or comment sections, where others can see the interaction.
Cyberstalking
Harassing someone with threatening messages, often to the point where someone feels unsafe. This often includes monitoring their online activities, sending persistent unwanted messages, or making repeated threats.
Exclusion
Deliberately leaving someone out of an online group, chat, or activity. This can be done by blocking, unfriending, or ignoring someone, making them feel isolated and unwelcome.
Outing
Impersonation
Pretending to be someone else online to cause harm, spread rumors, or send hurtful messages. The goal is to damage the person's reputation or relationships.
Trolling
Deliberately posting provocative, off-topic, or offensive comments in an online community or social media to upset others and provoke a reaction.
Doxing
Publicly revealing someone's private, personal information (such as home address, phone number, or workplace) online, often with malicious intent.
Trickery
Tricking someone into revealing personal information or doing something embarrassing, and then sharing it with others.
“Sitting behind a computer gives people a sense of anonymity, but everyone needs to realize that words-even the ones they write online have a strong power to hurt people.”
